MIMA BOARD NOMINATIONS
Under the MIMA bylaws, Board members are elected for a two year term. It is time to hold our 2012 election.
The first step in the election process is to develop a list of candidates. This nomination process begins today and will run through February 3 2012. No nominations will be accepted after that date.
There are 9 Board seats. There are 4 Board seats open for election in 2012, three current Board members whose terms expire this year and one retiring member. The Board will appoint Officers from their ranks.
Assuming that we have more than 4 candidates, a vote by ballot will take place during the month of February. The new Board should be in place for the General Meeting of MIMA members on March 15, 2012.
Nominees must be members in good standing of Mission Inn. Any MIMA member may nominate themselves or any other member. An election committee will review the nominations, assure that the nominees’ 2011 dues are current (the only prerequisite to holding a leadership position) and confirm that the person is willing to serve.
